We Have Moved!!!

working_01

It has been a busy almost two years are our location but it is true PS & T Small Engines is Moving to a new location, and we are now going to share space with PS & T Power Equipment & Supply located just off from Robbins Rd right next door to Z-Tire, and if anyone doesn't know where Z-Tire is, they are in the Pizza Hut Plaza on the Westside.

There are going to be a lot of improvements that go with our move and one of them being, that we are going to have a much larger team to help with customers concerns and also to help speed up the process of the repairs, parts management, parts ordering, and just a few more things to make us better then what we already are. Our idea really comes from our own customers, and we can only get better with time.

Many of our customers have already voiced their concern about us moving, and all have agreed that it is really a good idea. By sharing space with PS & T Power Equipment & Supply (formally PS & T Industrial Supply who closed its doors in Late November) we feel that by teaming up, we can share the expenses, and thus cut down on overhead.

PS & T Small Engine Repair gained a lot of our customers trust in the past few years, and we truly feel that giving back to the community is our main goal. We want to participate more in the community to help others that are in need, because not everyone can afford to have someone fix their lawn mowers. This was something that Shop Manager Robert Woonacott wanted to put into motion this year. “What we can do is discount our services, to help so that the cost isn’t so heavy on the customer” Robert Woonacott says, (Shop Manager) However we have to be very careful because some people like to take advantage of these discounts if they don’t need them.

Moving into to the new location would prove to be a larger task then what we thought, because there were issues that had to be taken care of, and one of them being the Grand Haven Township. Grand Haven Township has ordnance that we had to follow and that we were not made aware of until after we moved into our new location, and although we didn’t agree with all their request we were able to come to an agreement, and so now we are here to stay.

Some of our customers have asked us why our turnaround time has changed from what it was last year, and all we can tell our customers is the truth. This last year was very hard on PST Small Engine Repair, and it was based on not having hardly any snow which dropped our service and our sales for the end of the year, and then to top this off we had some injuries that took place in our shop. Our Assistant Manager and Brian Brondyke was in a automobile accident, which almost cost him his life, when a drunk driver hit him at an intersection not far from his home, this put him out of work for a least 6 weeks. Then in February our head Technician Chris Hunter was working on a Snow Blower and accidently got his fingers caught in the blower housing almost cutting two of his fingers off. This left our crew with only one person to not only do the service, but to do sales, ordering of parts, and sometimes staying until midnight to just catch up on service tickets, and when the tractors and mowers started coming in earlier than expected this put us way behind, and when Brian came back to work they both worked to get the customers equipment out the door.

Through all the troubles that PST Power Equipment & Supply and PST Small Engine Repair had gone through in the past year it is a wonder these guys are still catering to their customers like they are, and they still have smiles on their faces, and give the customers the best service in town. These guys are tough, and want to provide that area with the best in service and pricing that they can, and it all shows how much they love their company, and how dedicated they are to their customers.
